Welcome to Frontier School of Innovation – Middle!

It is my honor to serve as your principal and to be part of a school community that believes every student has unique gifts, talents, and potential. Our mission is to empower students to discover and develop their gifts and talents, and we work each day to make that mission a reality.

At Frontier School of Innovation-Middle, we believe that success extends far beyond the classroom. We want every student to find something they are passionate about, build confidence, and discover what they are capable of achieving. Our students have opportunities to participate in sports such as volleyball, soccer, and basketball, as well as non-competitive activities including sewing, cooking, and arts & crafts. Students who enjoy challenges and competition can also explore opportunities such as Science Olympiad and Robotics. These activities help students develop teamwork, creativity, perseverance, leadership, and skills that will serve them well beyond middle school.

Academically, we are committed to ensuring that every student receives the support they need to grow. We work intentionally to identify and close academic gaps through tutoring, small-group instruction, intervention time, and individualized support. Our goal is not simply for students to meet expectations, but to help every student make meaningful progress and reach their full potential.

We also know that great schools are built by great educators. We are committed to supporting our staff through ongoing professional development, collaboration, and opportunities to strengthen instructional practices. When we invest in our teachers, we strengthen the learning experiences our students receive.

Most importantly, we want our students to live out the values that define who we are as Tigers. We strive for our students to be:

  • Innovative – We think creatively, embrace new ideas, and find solutions.
  • Goal-Oriented – We set goals, work hard, and persevere when challenges arise.
  • Empathetic – We care about others, show kindness, and seek to understand different perspectives.
  • Responsible – We take ownership of our choices, our learning, and our school community.

As we move forward together, I am excited about the opportunities ahead for our students, staff, and families. Thank you for partnering with us as we create a school where students are challenged academically, encouraged to explore their interests, supported in their growth, and empowered to discover what makes them exceptional.

With Tiger Pride,

Ms. Amber Smith
